CHRISTMAS, TOGETHER

All the traditions.
None of the hosting.

This Christmas, your only job is to turn up, settle in and enjoy it.

We’ll cook the turkey, the gammon and the beef. We’ll roast the potatoes. We’ll lay the table, set down the Christmas crackers and pour the first glass – and, most importantly, we’ll do the washing up.

Join us at The Allerford near Taunton for Christmas Day 2026 and settle in around a festively laid Christmas table, complete with Christmas crackers, four courses of proper Christmas food and a complimentary welcome glass of Prosecco, Bucks Fizz or orange juice.

No timings taped to the kitchen cupboard. No mountain of pans waiting in the sink. No disappearing into the kitchen while everyone else is having fun.

We’ll be seating you between 12:00-13:30. Please allow up to around 3 hours to sit and dine with us and bathe in the festivities. Thereafter, our lovely staff will be returning home to spend time with their families.

Just good food, full glasses and Christmas together.

COURSE ONE The Starters

Prawn & Salmon Rosette GFA

Served with cream cheese, crisp leaves, crouton and a balsamic glaze.

Baked Camembert V · GFA

Deliciously creamy, baked and served with sourdough toast and caramelised onion.

Orange & Cognac Duck Liver & Pork Pâté GFA

Served with caramelised onion chutney and sourdough toast.

Curried Sweet Potato Soup VE · GFA

A warming creamy bowl served with sourdough toast.

Pigs in Honey Blankets GFA

Pork sausage, wrapped in bacon in a honey mustard glaze. Christmas, basically.

COURSE TWO The Main Course

Traditional Christmas Carvery

Our famous three-meat festive carvery. Beef, Gammon and Turkey served with Yorkshire puddings, three-cheese cauliflower cheese, garlic and herb roasted potatoes, dauphinoise potatoes, spiced red cabbage, cranberry stuffing, parsley carrots, minted peas, Brussels sprouts, maple-glazed parsnips, red wine gravy and a selection of other sauces.

Beetroot & Butternut Squash Wellington VE

Our vegan carvery main option — a show-stopping centrepiece. Chunky beetroot and butternut squash in a sweet balsamic chutney wrapped in a golden baked puff pastry lattice.

Sticky Toffee Pudding GF

A timeless classic, served with custard.

Homestyle Spiced Apple Crumble VEO

Warm spiced apples with a buttery crumble, served with custard.

Rich, fruit-filled and full of festive flavour, served with brandy sauce.

Silky vanilla custard with a crisp caramel top, served with fresh fruit.
